Mangroves and Rain Forest Adventure
Starting from your hotel, we’ll drive to Takuapa.
Here you’ll explore the amazing flora and fauna of the tropical mangrove forest by Longtail boat. A visit to the old town of Takuapa, with a history dating back for over 250 years, is our next station. The old town of Takuapa was founded by Chinese merchants and tin miners. Everywhere, the remnants of the old days are all apparent.
The small lanes with their old Sino-Portuguese style houses and the ancient town wall are a must-see. Lunch will be served in a local Thai restaurant in Takuapa. In the afternoon we will visit the lesser-known Sri Phang Nga National Park, which borders with the famous Khao Sok National Park. The following ninety minute trek through untouched rain forest is led by our professional guide who will give you a lot of information about this fragile habitat and its inhabitants.
A refreshing bath beneath an impressive waterfall will revitalize your body and soul. Back at the park entrance our bus is waiting to bring you back to your hotel.
