Location: Khao Lak Beach, on High Way to the Natioalpark Lamru in direction Phuket at km 54 turn left, on the road sign of Asia Safari Park follow only for about 300m.

The park has been created after the Tsunami based on the ideas of Khun Simon and Peter Stiller. It has been enlarged step by step, depending how the money was available. The major part came from donations and credits of guests who trusted us. Many thanks to the lenders!

Today the Park contains the following:

Elephant camp and accommodation for the mahouts, called "Elephant village".
11 Elephant-Ladies and one Elephant-Baby.
Mini Zoo with water buffalos, crocodiles, gibbons, turtoises and bald eagles
Souvenir- & Coffee shop
Small orchid garden
"Scenery Restaurant" on the hill, with a beautiful view to the bay of Khao Lak.

Travelling by your own motorbike or car:	Entrance fee: 200 THB for Adult., 100 THB for Children (until 4 years free) The entrance fee should be considered as help for feeding. The animals need care and feed the whole year and not only during the season from Nov.-April. Elephants Trekking 1 hour - 1.100 THB per person including entrance fee. Tip: please take off your shoes, before you step on the elephant, the shoes doesn't hurt the elephant, but you get better in touch and feel with the animal. We are using only "ladies" for trekking as males are know to become aggressive during mating season. Our ladies are carefully assorted and very well trained. This is something Khun Simon is granting for, as he grew up with elephants and has a deep devotion to these animals.

Attention: In case you want to visit us by taxi, it can be happen that taxi drivers don't want to go and say "today closed" or "no good" and offer you other places for elephant riding, because we don't pay high commissions to them as other companies do.

More infos about the lovable elephants

Elephants can get 60 to 80 years of age.
The average weight of an asian elephant is about 3 tons.
He needs up to 200 kg food per day.
and drinks 200 - 250 liters of water per day.
Pregnancy lasts about 22 month.
With 15 years an elephant is fully grown.
Even as a baby the animal is very adaptive.
Elephants are pure vegetarian and feed mainly on bananas, pineapple, sugar cane, grass, young bamboo and other green vegetation.
Food has to be chewed very well so the stomach can process it further. if an elephant loses his teeth he will die of starvation.
The animals have to be on the move all the time, so trekking is a normal training for them.
They love water and love to have a shower. On a river or in the sea they are very playful.
It is nesessary to treat them against worms every 3 to 4 month. Injuries or illnesses can be very expensive.
The average upkeeping of an elephant and his mahout are about 500 EUR per month.
